Grade Promotion-Demotion Form

HOW TO process Grade Promotions and Demotions.

Annual Grade Promotion—Promotes all students in grades with values from “-3” to “12” to the following grade (by adding 1 to the grade number).  In addition, this program eliminates all class assignments.  This routine should be run at the end of the school year.  Note: Caution should be exercised because this routine makes global changes to all records.

Press the Promote button.  A warning box appears. If you want to go ahead with the promotion, press OK to continue.

Grade Demotions—The white sub-form is used to enter all students who did not pass their grade in order to return them to their grade from the previous school year.

In the white sub-form, enter the student number of all students who did not pass their grade.

When finished entering student numbers, press the “Submit” button to demote these students to their previous grade (subtracts 1 from grade number).
