The Sponsorship Tab allows the user to assign Spanish (French in Haiti) sponsorship code labels and to add sponsorship programs.

Sponsorship Codes

Understanding LACC Sponsorship Codes:  The program functions with 4 sponsorship status codes to distinguish between the sponsorship status of children:  New, Sponsored, Previous and Closed.  The impact of each of these codes is explained in detail in the various sections of this manual.

  • New—New children waiting for their first sponsor.
  • Sponsored—Children who have received their first sponsor.
  • Previous—Children who had a sponsor, but have lost their sponsor.
  • Closed—Children who have graduated, left school or left the LACC program.

Each of these codes must be assigned a Spanish name equivalent.  By default the values are set as:

                 New      =    Pendiente

       Sponsored     =    Patrocinado

          Previous      =    Renovado

             Closed      =    Retirado

Define Sponsorship Program Types:  HOW DO I Setup and Manage Multiple Sponsorship Programs?

Some countries have other sponsorship programs (e.g. Canada's "Child Care Plus" or a national program) in addition to LACC.  SMP allows assigning both students and sponsors to programs other than LACC.  The first step is to define the secondary sponsorship programs.

  • Enter the new sponsorship program:  Setup Form, Sponsorship tab.
  • Enter a short name to define secondary sponsorship programs.  For example, CCP may be used as the name for Canada's Child Care Plus, with the full name Child Care Plus as the description.
  • New Case History considerations:
    • LACC is the default sponsorship program when new case histories or new sponsors are added.  Therefore, if you want to assign a new case history to a different sponsorship program, it is easiest to do so while you are entering the case history.
    • The New Case Histories List report, New Case Histories and the New Case Histories table are controlled by the sponsorship program criteria.
  • The Child Care Plus program uses a second student ID number.  However, this number isn't known until after the student is sponsored in the program.  When the number is available, it can be entered in the student's record.  Go to the Individual Students form, "Secondary ID" field.  This number prints on case histories, student labels, student master list and photo reports.
  • Many reports are selectable based upon the sponsorship program criteria.  Reports include:
    • Project Sheets
    • Student Labels
    • Current Sponsor Labels
    • Student Master List and
    • Photo Reports
